I was born and raised in Haiti; in a household of eight children. Most of my childhood years and early education were spent and acquired in Haiti. I came to the United States at the age of twenty-one to advance my knowledge which I intended to be a tool towards a better life. The journey to the United States came with a high price; I had to leave most of my family members behind. By the grace of God, I was able to adapt to the American culture, succeeded in school, and learn a new language; all at an extraordinary pace.I have been lucky to have the opportunity to join one of the prestigious colleges in the US (Miami Dade College – Miami Florida) where I am currently undertaking a course in Associate Science in Nuclear Medicine Tech. Additionally, in 2014; I graduated from the same institution with an Associate in Art in Business Administration. Further, I am a well trained person in three main areas which are; Home Health Aide, Current CPR Card, and Patient care technician certified which I attained in 2015 from Excel Institute College- Miami Florida. Additionally, in 2012, I become a certified CAN. Finally on my education, back in my motherland in Haiti, I managed to attain the high school diploma from College Historia de Port- Au –Prince in 2007. The Miss Mundo Latina pageant will not only elevate my self-Esteem, but it will also undoubtedly empower me to become a light for many young people who are currently lingering in the shadows, yet desperately seeking for a better life.
In Her Own Words:“Every individual possesses the ability to succeed in life; but it comes down to victory, a person is willing to work hard, and strive higher to achieve some degree of success" These words serve as the light that guides my way to the shadows of life.
